125 Species of Asian Waterfowl Found in Boeung Prek Lpou and Anlung Pring

PHNOM PENH: In the third week of January 2023, Nature Life in Cambodia collaborated with the wildlife alliance rangers of Boeung Prek Lpov and Anlung Pring to record the 2023 Asian Water Bird census, which is conducted every year.

Nature Life revealed the results of the 2023 preliminary census which recorded 125 species of birds, including 91 species recorded in Boeung Prek Lpov in Takeo province, and 34 species recorded in the Anlung Pring landscape protection area of Kampot province.

The Boeung Prek Lpov Landscape Protection Area in Takeo Province covers an area of 8,305 hectares, while Anlung Pring Landscape Protection Area covers a total area of 217 hectares in Kampong Trach District, Kampot Province, providing an important habitat for migratory birds, such as cranes, wild ducks, more.
